Christine & Wayne welcome you to The Lakeside Loft, a unique guesthouse in the beautiful and peaceful village of Mount Vernon, Maine. But why are we so unique, you ask?

* Here, you will find opportunities for both privacy and community. Three fully independent units are available for accommodation, each including its own kitchenette (or full kitchen), bathroom and separate entrance. In addition, all guests are free to use the house’s covered porch and sun deck. And did we mention the lake's floating dock? Or the hammock by the stream? And the waterfall pool?

* The concept of a guesthouse tends to conjure very specific B&B-related images in the minds of most Americans. We, on the other hand, are not a B&B. Rather than subject you to our cooking, we have provided each unit with the culinary appliances and equipment you will need to prepare your own meals. If you can’t find something you need, please ask!

* We have little need—or space, come to think of it—for artwork on our walls. With 6' x 7' windows facing Lake Minnehonk and the waterfall that feeds it, nature, in all its glory, is the work of art.

* With decades of experience in this area, we can recommend and generally outfit you for all sorts of activities, no matter the season. Swimming, golf, boating, hammock-lounging, hiking, whitewater rafting, snowshoeing, antique-hunting, picnicking, cross country and downhill skiing, lemonade-sipping, ice fishing, bird-watching, leaf-peeping, kayaking, canoeing... And the list goes on...
