Christine & Wayne welcome you to The Lakeside Loft, a unique destination in the beautiful and peaceful village of Mount Vernon, Maine.

Why are we so unique?

* Here, you will find opportunities for both privacy and community. Three fully independent units are available for accomodation, each including its own kitchenette (or full kitchen), bathroom and separate entrance. In addition, all guests are free to use the house’s living room, covered porch and sun deck. And did we mention the lake? Or the stream? And the waterfall pool?

* We have little need—or space, come to think of it—for artwork on our walls. With 6’ x 7’ windows facing Lake Minnehonk and the waterfall that feeds it, nature, in all its glory, is the work of art.

* With decades of experience in this area, we can recommend and generally outfit you for all sorts of activities, no matter the season. Swimming, golf, boating, hammock-lounging, hiking, snowshoeing, antique-hunting, picnicking, cross country and downhill skiing, lemonade-sipping, ice fishing, bird-watching, leaf-peeping, kayaking, canoeing... And the list goes on...
